Notice of Prescribed Burn at Pleasant View Natural Area

Conservation Halton is planning on conducting prescribed burns at the Pleasant View Natural Area - Cartwright and Hopkins Tracts. The prescribed burn at Cartwright in the Pleasant View Natural Area is scheduled to take place at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12 as long as weather conditions remain favourable for conducting it. The burn will be postponed if conditions are unfavourable. Due to the characteristics of the Hopkins Tract it will be burned at a later date which will be posted on the Conservation Halton website.

Watershed Conditions Statement - Flood Outlook April 5, 2017 at 3 p.m.

Conservation Halton has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement - Flood Outlook at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, at 3 p.m. Conservation Halton advises that another weather system is forecasted to bring rain to our region later this afternoon through Thursday, changing to wet snow Thursday night. Significant widespread rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm are likely by Thursday night with some areas possibly exceeding 40 mm.

Watershed Conditions Statement - Flood Outlook March 30, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.

Conservation Halton has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement - Flood Outlook as of 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 30. Mixed precipitation totals of up to 40 mm is forecast to fall throughout the watershed between Thursday afternoon and Friday evening. Conservation Halton is asking all residents to stay away from watercourses and structures such as bridges, culverts and dams.

Conservation Halton hands out 2016 awards

Conservation Halton (CH) held its 34th annual Conservation Halton Awards on Tuesday, November 15 at the Milton Centre for the Arts. The awards are presented to people and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to conservation in the Halton watershed, which includes Halton, Peel, Hamilton and Puslinch.

Conservation Halton Board Appoints Hassaan Basit as CAO
